During the Autumn and Winter months the surgery telephone lines first thing in the morning are very busy. This is where on-line appointments can help you. We open appointment to be booked on line every day so why not register and save a phone call
In the surgery we have a new area called the patient POD - this is situated by our reception desk. The POD is there for patients to use as and when they would like. The POD records patients investigations straight to their medical records without the need to book an appointment with a clinician. If in the event any result is recorded which falls outside normal parameters patients will be called for further investigation. Please come and make use of the POD all you have to do is follow the instructions on the touch screen.
What the POD can records for patients: Alcohol use, Blood Pressure, Friends and Family, Smoking, Anxiety and Depression Score, Contraceptive Pill Check, Height and Weight, Anxiety, COPD Test, New Patient Check, Asthma Check, Epilepsy, Patient Health Questionnaire
We have launched Doctor Link
For all same day “I am feeling unwell” appointments, we ask that patient register with and undertake a symptom assessment through Doctor Link.
The symptom assessment will ask you a number of questions to help to identify your problem.
The outcome of your assessment will direct you to the right treatment, whether emergency care, here at the GP Practice, Pharmacy or self-care etc.
If your outcome indicates that an appointment is needed here at Chessington Park, you will be able to book an appointment directly. Then you simply arrive for your appointment
The information you provide is attached to your clinical record ensuring the clinician has all the information regarding your symptoms upon your arrival.
