Due to the global coronavirus pandemic we are triaging all appointments before our

patients are seen.


  • if you have symptoms of coronavirus infection (COVID-19), however mild, do not leave your home for 7 days from when your symptoms started, members of your household have to self-isolate with you for 14 days from the day you have symptoms.
  • this action will help protect others in your community while you are infectious
  • plan ahead and ask others for help to ensure you can successfully stay at home
  • ask your employer, friends and family to help you to get the things you need to stay at home
  • stay at least 2 metres (about 3 steps) away from other people in your home whenever possible
  • sleep alone, if possible
  • wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds, each time using soap and water
  • stay away from vulnerable individuals, such as the elderly and those with underlying health conditions, as much as possible
  • you do not need to call NHS 111 to go into self-isolation. If your symptoms worsen during home isolation or are no better after 7 days, contact NHS 111 online. If you have no internet access, call NHS 111. For a medical emergency dial 999

Kingston Stronger Together - Supporting our most vulnerable residents during Covid-19


Kingston Council has launched a new online and telephone call centre service (telephone number 0208 547 5000) to respond to the needs of residents who cannot leave their homes. This includes those in extremely vulnerable groups who have received a letter from the NHS advising them to stay at home for 12 weeks or who are self-isolating because they have symptoms of the coronavirus and don't have family or friends who can assist them with shopping, collecting medicine or other support. 


The Council will also be directly phoning those who are known to them and who are the most vulnerable. If people cannot support themselves and have no assistance from friends and family, the Council has set up support based around four tiers of assistance. These are:

  • Tier 1 Information and signposting
  • Tier 2 Support to ensure people are receiving food and medicine
  • Tier 3 Social contact including a telephone buddy system to call people who're self-isolating
  • Tier 4 Support for people who have health and social care needs to get the right services when they need them most


How to get help from Kingston Stronger Together

If you or someone you know needs this support, please fill in this online form and we will get in contact. You can complete the online form at any time. If you do not have online access you can phone 020 8547 5000. If your request is not urgent please try to call between Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. The number will be answered outside of these hours but we need to prioritise these times for urgent calls only. Thank you for supporting us to prioritise the most vulnerable.   For all medical enquiries, residents should continue to contact the NHS on or on 111.


GP Appointments   

If you have access to the internet please go to, click “I am an NHS patient” and sign up to go through the online triage.  If an appointment is recommended we will be in touch with you to arrange this.  Please make sure you enter your correct contact information.

If you do not have access to the internet we have the following options available:

Telephone/video consultations: all appointments with a GP will be triaged.  If you think the GP might need to see you in order to treat you and you own a smartphone you can book a telephone consultation.  If you do not have a smartphone, please book a telephone consultation.


Nurse Appointments

Chronic disease management appointments (e.g. diabetic, COPD, asthma appointments) will be carried out over the telephone.  All other appointments which require you to attend the surgery will be triaged on the morning of your appointment.  If you do not answer the telephone on the morning of your appointment you will not be able to be seen, please make sure we have your correct telephone number when you book your appointment.

Text Messages - We are now using a new texting system called AccuRx to ensure you receive healthcare information and advice conveniently and in a timely manner. It is secure and safe for our patients. 

We are not able to arrange testing at the GP Practice.

The ‘Hub of Hope’ is a first of its kind, as it provides a national mental health database which brings together organisations and charities, large and small, from across the country who offer mental health advice and support, together in one place. The hub of hope App is designed to help individuals find local and relevant mental health services near them. The App has been designed to be simple to use, and it also includes a Talk Now option for those who are in crisis and require emergency help.
